2nd: Ping An in her hometown, which is a place that is surrounded with Chinese style building

Fig 3.5: Splash Art Exploration

Fig 3.6: Splash Art Sketches

Moving on to the splash art making. For the sketches, I have three attempt:
1st: Ping An standing on a Chinese magic portal surrounded with scrolls that represent she came out of the fairy tales
2nd: Ping An standing on a rock that represent a cliff that represent Ping An is fighting.
3rd: Similar to the 1st attempt but without the magic portal.

At the end, I choose to execute with the 1st attempt

4. FINAL OUTCOMES

5. FEEDBACK
SPLASH ART:
1. Try not to put the scroll behind the character, it doesn't make the character pop out and causing the audience loss their attention & focus on the character itself, unless it is a background.
2. Adding a fire effect arounf the knife will be nice.

6. REFLECTION
This task might be the most challeging task as I am not a gamer and I didn't have enough exposure to character splash art. When designing the splash art, I struggle a bit with the background as my character keep blending it, but luckily it is fixable! Besides that, I have never draw a effect such as fire or water flow effect for a character, so it is challeging for me as well. I struggle with flow and it look stiff at first. Overall, I struggle, but it is still enjoyable!! I have tried and learned a lot of new technique through this task^^
