Realism VS Surrealism

Realism: Draw what we will see in real life, no imaginative inside

The Persistence of Memory drawn by Salvador Dalí
Surrealism: A twist on realism, similar to dream. It is full of 'unrealistic'

Dadaism: An anti war art movement with art works that is  satirical and nonsensical in nature

My material for the main object:

Start doing it in Photoshop:

Add my main object 
(I photoshop the light bulb onto my head by using double exposure technique) 

 

Add boxes and the bottom part

Add black background and label on the boxes
(I write 'outside' '外面(outside in Chinese)' to emphasize the word 'outside' from my quote

Add light source on light bulb

I use lasso tools to frame the are that I want to make adjustment and add adjustment
(Brightness and curve) to bring out the light and shadow
*I use gaussian blur to make the edges smoother

REFLECTIVE WRITING:

During the working process, I have a hard time putting the boxes together TT. I have to make sure the angle is right, and the boxes doesn't look strange and unrealistic. Although I spend quote a long time adjusting it but I am satisfied with the process, It looks like I am in the TOY STORY world.
